College Identification Camp

July 18, 19, 20, 2008 At Denison University

The college identification camp is for boys entering their junior and senior year in high school (2009 and 2010 graduates). The purpose of this program is to introduce prospective collegiate soccer players to college recruiting and participation in soccer.

Registration for this program will be on Friday at noon. Similar to all Score and Save Programs campers must complete a health waiver and parental permission slip. All campers must have both accident and health insurance.

The ID program is unique. Participants will be participating in soccer games, instruction, strength, speed and agility workshops, admissions presentation and discussion on the differences between NCAA Division I, II, and III rules, recruiting, scholarships and playing.

The program is under the direction of Rob Russo, head soccer coach at Denison University. Coach Russo has spent his entire coaching career (30 years) coaching at the college level. He has spent eight (8) years as a Division I coach; thirteen (13) years in Division II, and nine (9) years in NCAA Division III.

In addition to Coach Russo the staff will consist of other college coaches and university administrators.

Unique to the ID program is a daily evaluation. At the conclusion of each day's session every camper will receive an evaluation. At the conclusion of camp every camper will receive an evaluation and a recommendation of what level they can successfully compete at.
